Dear Friends and Supporters of Neighborhood Ministries,
We thank God for you and your ongoing ministry to us, of prayer and intercession.
Prayer is often a very sacrificial gift, we know that. Thank you for taking the
time, devoting the heart energy and standing in the gap for what we have been
discerning is God's will for Neighborhood Ministries, the purchase of property in downtown
Phoenix.

We are asking God for the very persons He wants at each
dessert to come
We are praying for great communication and vision casting

Pray for our board as they meet on March 9, in preparation
for March 15 as our first deadline - the free look period is over and we then enter
escrow, with $20,000.00 down as our earnest money. (A huge move on the part of our
ministry)
Do you remember the early imagery that we held to last year, realizing that our
homelessness was launching us into the next phase of ministry? Well, we are
like Israel standing before the Red Sea and the Sea has not yet parted. We cannot go
back, our bags are packed and we are going forward in faith. We are at the NOW OR
NEVER place with deadlines and the rapid progression of time.
A LOOK AT GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
In this short time already, $225,000.00 is in the bank. Perhaps you saw the news the
day our brother in Christ, Alice Cooper, gave us a check for $25,000.00 for this project.
Maybe you have heard that the Arizona Diamondbacks gave us $10,000.00 for our hoped
for Ballfield. A local architect and a structural engineering firm have come
alongside to see this vision realized. There is a construction firm committed to
handling the buildings at no profit to them, and we are being advised by environmental
experts, land developers and friends in the construction business. We have friends
in city government and support from many local leaders. God has indeed given us
favor.
Please don’t cease to pray with us! We are with confidence trusting God
in the urgency of this project. Pray for the momentum to continue.
We need many more hosts and hostesses of desserts. They are small gatherings
of your friends and loved ones, who you know would be very interested in this vision of a
"beachhead" ministry to the poor, where multiple ministries are taking place on
the same site. Our goal is to have 2-3 (or more) desserts a week until June 15.
We will provide the invitations and the program, all you do is open your home for
this vision to be shared to your list of guests. If you feel God leading you to host
a dessert, let me know and we will place your home and date on the calendar.
Praise God with us, that ministry is continuing during these momentous days. We are
training staff, loving kids, watching God’s love change lives, and seeing leaders
developed. Don’t worry, we are not letting this property drive redirect our
calling and our first vision:
To be the presence of Jesus Christ, sharing His life-transforming hope and power among
distressed families of urban Phoenix to ignite their passion for God and His kingdom.
