Just returned from having midnight kafa
bosanska, sladoled, and some hard laughs as Ante turned coffee cups
upside down and Nancy was chasing waves doing…I'm really not sure
what. Sitting listening to Nina (popular Bosnian singer) and
reflecting over the last several weeks and realizing that soon I
will be leaving this place.
Today we went into downtown and visited the
church there. I was blessed by their worship and the hour and half
of getting into the word as a message I couldn't understand was
given. Spent the rest of the day shopping and playing on the shore.
As a team we met for debriefing and shared
the variety of responses to this time. God touched this team … not
one of us will leave unaffected or unchanged. We have all grown to
greatly enjoy each others presence and already I'm beginning to feel
the loss of their presence as we go our separate ways when we return
home. Very thankful for this time and for the team that I got to
share it with. Thank for your prayers on our part.
I would like to let you in on my thoughts
and what I have experienced in the last week or so since I last
wrote, but my thoughts are too many and it is late. So the details
will have to wait till later, and I will simplify it to say God has
shown me much, some deeply saddening and difficult to deal with and
some so full of hope and promise and His light and so wonderfully
beautiful that it makes me ache for that which is to come. We do
indeed have a fearfully wondrous, powerful, and loving God. To Him
be the glory.
Thank you for your part in this adventure.
God bless.
His,
Shannon
